We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that our Operations & People Coordinator, Demi Longman, has successfully completed the 2025 TCS London Marathon.
Running in support of the mental health charity C.A.L.M. (Campaign Against Living Miserably), Demi not only conquered the 26.2-mile course through the capital but also smashed her fundraising goal, raising an incredible £1,200 — doubling her original target.
The London Marathon is renowned as one of the most prestigious and well-loved races in the world, with this year’s 45th anniversary event attracting over 56,000 runners from all walks of life. Taking place on Sunday, April 27th, the marathon saw runners, elite athletes, and celebrities alike wind their way through London’s historic streets, cheered on by hundreds of thousands of supporters lining the route.
For Demi, the journey to the finish line was about more than just crossing a personal milestone. As she shared ahead of the race, running for C.A.L.M. was deeply meaningful. The charity’s mission to stand against suicide, raise mental health awareness, and provide life-saving support to those in crisis is a cause close to Demi’s heart and one that resonates strongly across the Social Advantage team.
Demi’s marathon effort was the culmination of months of dedicated training and fundraising. Her journey was not without challenges — from juggling a demanding role at Social Advantage to fitting in training sessions during unpredictable spring weather, Demi showed extraordinary commitment and resilience. Her colleagues, friends, and family rallied behind her throughout, helping her smash her £600 fundraising goal and ultimately raise an incredible £1,200.
Speaking after the race, Demi shared:
“There is no doubt that this is one of my biggest achievements EVER. It’s cliché, but it really does teach you that YOU CAN do tough things. Your mind is so powerful in getting you through when it gets rough. I am so proud that I doubled my initial target!”
